The US government supported apartheid in South Africa to the very end. I keep that in mind as I watch the USA stand by Israeli apartheid & genocide today. It’s a reminder we have the power to topple apartheid without support from the US government.

As we praise South Africa, please don’t forget Yemen also which has been paying in blood & hunger to disrupt the genocide wheel & relieve Palestinians. A dozen of Yemenis were killed in the process by the US, & food aid for millions of Yemenis has been cut off.

If South Africa is putting international law on trial, then Yemen is putting the doctrine of humanitarian intervention to the test. If they're not justified to turn some boats around to lift the siege on Gaza then no one is justified to fire a single shot.

If you want to serve your community, go down to your local community center and see what they need. You have some schools in your area that are under funded? Donate and volunteer your time. You’d be much more useful to your community that way than joining the military.
