A new permanent National Holocaust Memorial & Learning Centre beside Parliament is the right idea, in the right place, at the right time. It will be a bold, unapologetic national statement. Let’s fulfil the promise I made a decade ago, get behind it, build it, & be proud of it.

Would you trust Robert Jenrick who ordered Disney murals to be painted over for child asylum seekers to be painted over with YOUR human rights? I wouldn't. He is in my view Tommy Robinson in a suit with an awful haircut

This is really the key bit from the German ambo. A number of EU countries say they are looking at Rwanda, but for PROCESSING e.g if asylum claims are valid, they can come live in Germany. UK scheme would have seen people deported to Rwanda, regardless of validity of their claim.

Miguel Berger Jason Groves and Mail+ have to be held to account for writing such utter lies. Our media architecture is broken here in the UK! This is how disinformation and extremist populism spreads and poisons a country.

Odd for the BBC to be tweeting this nonsense *after* it’s been made clear it isn’t happening. No sensible government would squander public money this way.

Nick Robinson BBC Radio 4 Today Germany’s ambassador to the UK isn’t “making the distinction”. He’s just telling everyone the truth. The Daily Mail didn’t. It’s unclear why you didn’t. I’m not in favour of third country processing of asylum seekers. But it isn’t deportation. Which the UK’s “plan” was.

Still find it completely bizarre how out of touch Conservative leadership candidates are with their voters on the issue of Trump. Trump has a net favourability rating of -39 with Conservative voters. Six in ten say a Trump victory in November would be a "negative" outcome.

Chris Hopkins (@chrishopkins92) 's Twitter Profile Photo

But repeated defences of Trump is out of touch with Conservative loyalist opinion (those who voted for the party in 2019 *and* 2024), so risks alienating a core base while also further putting off Con 2019 to Lab 2024 switchers.

theguardian.com/society/articl… That's the state the Tories left us in. If Labour go along this road, it's going to be very expensive. So it needs to be for a very short amount of time whilst more prisons get built and more focus on rehabilitation
