This morning we’re attending the launch of Different Paths, Shared Experiences: Minoritised Women and Local Politics in Ireland from National Traveller Women’s Forum and AkiDwA Incredibly important recommendations coming forward about supporting Traveller, Roma and Migrant women to run for election.

Really interesting hearing the difficult first hand experience of ethnic minority women who have run for election in Ireland. More support needed in terms of training, support and finance as well as a ‘nested quota’. Stronger hate laws key for stopping abuse. #DifferentPaths

It is way past time political parties started to invest in Traveller women and all marginalised women. #DifferentPaths
