In relation to Direct Provision the number of children living in emergency accommodation is incredibly concerning. We need Government to immediately put in place standards for these emergency settings and ensure that there are independent inspections put in place #ReportCard2024
Bernard Joyce from Irish Traveller Movement: Travellers are living in the worst accommodation in Ireland. 1/3 are in overcrowded accommodation. Between 2019-2022, the State did build 9,999 units (only 44 units of accommodation were built for Travellers.
