The bonds between Chicago and Waukegan grow in the cities' 🤍 and efforts to support recovery of the endangered Great Lakes population of Piping Plovers. Sea Rocket (Montrose female) and Pepper (Waukegan male) are from the same clutch of eggs rescued from a New York State nest.

We’re saddened to hear of the passing of James Earl Jones. Audubon is honored to have worked with him on the critically acclaimed series The World of Audubon. The 1991 special “Great Lakes: Bitter Legacy” shows the inimitable voice & heart that he lent to our conservation causes.
