Today we have started Truth and Reconciliation Week by unpacking what Truth and Reconciliation means, and the importance of hearing the unheard and silenced voices from our History #JWBfamily HDSB HDSB Indigenous Rights and Education

This week 5-1 has been learning, listening and reflecting on the truths of Canada’s Indigenous People. Our reconciliation will be ongoing as it is the work of generations and lifetimes 🧡

This month the focus of 5-1’s mindfulness corner is gratitude! Excited to learn about all the wonderful things these students are thankful for 🍂

Today 5-1 stepped into the OR to examine the brain. Students collaborated to create a model showing each part of the brain. Ask your child what they learned about the brain today 🧠

Today's science fair was a success! The grade 5s did a fantastic job sharing their knowledge of the human body systems! Thank you to the parents, grade 7 judges and the JWB students who came and supported my students today. I'm so proud of all their hard work ⭐️

We had so much fun creating our snowball launchers today! ❄️⛄️

The grade 5s had so much fun building SEL and collaboration skills today at Circle Square Ranch! We built fires, completed obstacle courses, strengthened our community of learners and even met some new friends along the way 🐴
