Martin Lewis Claire Coutinho MP Amanda Solloway MP The simple question for them to answer should be why are we paying 3- 4 times the price for something (kWh price) compared to 2019, when the wholesale costs are around the same prices as then? I’m happy to be corrected if this is massively incorrect.

Just had a virtual meeting with Claire Coutinho MP (Sec of State for Energy) and Amanda Solloway MP (Minister for Affordability). Amongst other things I was pushing on

- Standing charges being too high
- Lack of competition (& comparison difficulties as time of use tariffs come in)
-…

This should wake us all up…

four times more nurses have applied to go abroad than in 2019

Quadruple!

You are witnessing the slow death of a once revered NHS

This is a cost-cutting measure that threatens an immensely vulnerable population.

Every time a patient with undiagnosed Covid is sent back to their care home without a test, other residents could become infected & die.

I cannot believe the govt is doing this all over again.

'This was the very week that the poverty report came out.. it's almost like we're in a Dickens novel, rather than the 6th biggest economy in the world... 3.6m children are in poverty. So for every average class of 30, 9 are in poverty.

It’s not humble opinion. Just look at countries with PR and draw conclusions. That is analysing the data and drawing a conclusion.
If then we look at some measurable data and compare then we are critically analysing.
In both PR is a better system for the population

According to my reading of this: a CPO can be issued to any home owners … If the company Gove or whoever has sold the area to.
That’s you or me. Our family home. Chucked out.
I’m guessing this happened over HS2.
Are we all aware of this?
It’s NOT your castle, it’s THEIRS ❤️‍🔥

💥 Brexit-bullet-in-foot klaxon.

The EU - New Zealand free trade agreement has been ratified, and - spoiler alert - it's a MUCH better deal for the EU than what we secured with New Zealand.

If you’re going to tell blatant porkies to prove your point, you’re going to get caught out. This photo can’t be from this week as look at the trees- full of foliage.

The Streatham LTN was an absolute disaster, whatever excuses Lambeth & pro LTN accounts make.

Jo Maugham Yes. It’s also hard to quantify the harm our govt is doing to our wellbeing. Against a backdrop of rapid decline and a shattering of our public services, the banging drum of divisiveness and cruelty to others, is really damaging. A country made miserable by nastiness and failure.

It's hard, living inside a country, to understand what is happening to it. You don't have the reference points. That makes decisions like this, from Ireland, exposing that UK can no longer be treated as a 'safe third country', useful.
