Today was my last day in Johnstone High. Absolutely overwhelmed by cards, presents and kind words. I’ve been so lucky to work with the most fantastic colleagues and the best pupils. Don’t think I can put into words - let alone 140 characters - how much I will miss everyone! 🥹💕

Sorting out all my ‘weird RE stuff’ from my behind my JHigh desk to take to my new place of work. Weird to think no one has hit the ‘good work gong’ or I haven’t played my singing bowl for almost a whole week. A house isn’t a home without a solar powered Buddhist prayer wheel 😅

Highlights from my first proper teaching week in my new role: Halloween, getting my hair chalk-dyed and a talented young person teaching me how to play chess - game still ongoing (‘I can’t believe I’m teaching the teacher’).

The UK Government’s intervention to block the #GRRBill is deeply disappointing. The Bill does nothing to modify the Equality Act, it’s only aim is to respect trans people’s human rights. We want the UK Gov to rethink its decision to block this legislation.
