Today in R19 we were learning about Dia de los Muertos including where, why and how it is celebrated. We looked at the contrast between this celebration and Halloween. We then went on to create our version of sugar skulls associated with the festival BroomhillSchool

P6 r19 have been learning about the different techniques advertisers use to sell their products. We used Canva to create our own adverts using techniques such as rhetorical questions, sense of urgency, hyperbole and group of 3. BroomhillSchool Miss Wagg

R19 were developing our reading and vocabulary in French today by translating ‘Il pleut, il mouille’. We started by identifying the words we already knew and used the French dictionary to translate the rest. BroomhillSchool

R19 had lots of fun celebrating Languages Week Scotland last week with lots of different activities. We managed to complete the register in 6 languages! Thank you to everyone in the class who shared a language with us! BroomhillSchool

This week R19 have been taking part in a buoyancy boat building challenge! We explored buoyancy and what is going to help our boat float. There has been some great problem solving and team working skills displayed throughout! BroomhillSchool
