Last half term was certainly a busy one… After learning about Carbohydrates in their theory lessons, Year7 made Banana Oatmeal Muffins 🍌

Does pineapple belong on pizza? This created lots of discussion with my Year8s during their Pizza practicals. 🍕

After learning about the food commodity ‘Rice’ during their theory lessons, my Year9s made Egg Fried Rice with Miss Finch during their practical lesson 🍚

We did manage to squeeze in another Year7 practical before half term. Excellent effort from all my classes making their Mac ‘n’ Cheese.

Decided to make a little demonstration video in preparation for Year9s Pasta practical tomorrow. So pasta for dinner it is. 💛

This week Year9 had back to back practicals. In the first lesson of the week they made their own pasta and in the second lesson of the week they used the pasta to make a dish of their choice.

Well done to my Year10s this week who have been investigating how cooking affects the sensory properties of food.

Excellent effort from my Year7s today who have been learning about vegetarian diets in their theory lessons so today made a vegetarian chilli.
