You ever look at your dad or brother or uncle and just well up with tears? I look at my daddy sometimes, beautiful black man and just get sick at the thought of something happening to him for him just being him

I don’t think the purpose of the blackout is to stop posting everything, it’s to stop posting your own personal content for at least one day. Keep people informed. Don’t stop THAT. But we don’t want to see your new single artwork or hair review or flash sale or selfies today.

We cannot forget about BLACK WOMEN!! Keep the pressure on!! Its not enough to just fire the chief in Louisville. There are murderers running free who need to be brought to justice now!

Black lives matter even if they do resist arrest. Black lives matter even if they did commit a crime. Black lives matter even if they disrespect the cop. Black lives do not matter conditionally. Black lives matter, period. All of them.

fun fact, it's COMMON for women in retail to have to "hide in the back" or change their schedules to avoid a creepy man. often these women are teens. Those men are NEVER ARRESTED OR REPRIMANDED. we just consider this normal.
