Update - EWSS I have raised the issue with relevant Ministers with regards to changes relating to EWSS (Employment Wage Suppliment Scheme) Exclusion of Proprietary Directors from the EWSS discriminates against sole traders / SME owners Minister Paschal Donohoe must fix the problem
Update - EWSS Paschal Donohoe - The changes to the Employment Wage Subsidy scheme discriminates against Proprietary Directors by excluding them from the measure announced in the July Stimulus This change is adding more stress to many Small Business owners struggling to survive
So our glorious leader's are heading off for 6 weeks holidays, leaving 1000s of proprietary directors out of the EWSS , yet we're expected to employ, to not have holidays, work 7 days a week and deal with it quietly. F**k that! No seats here for you lot Micheál Martin

So many jobs & livelihoods on the line 💔😢Paschal Donohoe mmcgrathtd Adrian Cummins 🇮🇪🇪🇺🇵🇸 Marie-Claire Digby Charlie Weston David McCullagh David McWilliams
Jim Power: Resilient Irish economy will need more help One can only wonder at the strange & unexpected decision to cut the standard Vat rate from 23% to 21%, while ignoring the Vat rate applied to a sector that is in real trouble, the hospitality sector irishexaminer.com/opinion/column…
“We’re a family here in George’s Arcade”. The landlord of George’s Street Arcade in Dublin paused all rents for the businesses in the arcade while it was closed during lockdown.
An compelling read on why meat processing plants becomes clusters for the virus. We need far better working conditions for workers across all meat processing plants and we need mandatory testing. Greens have asked for mandatory testing as far back as May. theguardian.com/environment/20…
Sorcha Pollak Really abhorrent stuff and for more and more we see this type of behaviour is something minorities now almost expect in their lives. She makes an excellent point regarding education and hopefully something is done about this.
