"A court on Wednesday ruled that the French state failed to take sufficient action to fight climate change" Congratulations to those involved! It's so obvious nations aren't even close to meet their own very insufficient goals that it holds up in court. cbc.ca/news/technolog…

Seeing suggestions that the rate of vaccine rollout in the EU compared to the UK proves Brexit is working reminds me of this

Today I discovered there are sea slugs that look like rabbits (Jorunna parva - sea bunny), sheep (Costasiella kuroshimae - leaf slug/leaf sheep), cows (Peltodoris atromaculata - dotted sea slug/sea cow) and leaves (Elysia chlorotica) This has made me happy.

🎩🧢⛑️🐶Very excited that my new picture book Grumpy Hat will be out with Andersen Press in August! Ravi wakes to find a Grumpy Hat on his head. Is there anything he can do to get rid of it and find some happy socks instead? 🐶⛑️🧢🎩

Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP Then she probably wouldn't want you starting a culture war battle in her name, to distract from the fact that you're giving £13 billion less than the recommended catch-up funding for kids education, screwed up 1000s of their grades and tried to deprive poor kids of school meals.

Gary Neville brilliant on commentary: “the standard of leadership in this country the last couple of years has been terrible, but Gareth Southgate has shown the nation how to do it, with honesty and decency” 👏👏👏 #englandvdenmark

How can this incompetent still be in a job based on the fact he failed to read the principle risk report on NATO Afghan withdrawal? theguardian.com/politics/2021/…

Whenever someone says they feel depressed by UK politics, I tell them: The majority has voted Left of the Tories in almost every election since WW2, so the UK has a sustainably progressive future once the Labour/Dem memberships get tired of Tory rule and work together for PR.

The global economy has relied on the movement of both goods and labour for at least 500 years. Stopping the flow of labour therefore creates serious operational issues for the normative operation of global capitalism. It's obvious that the UK government doesn't understand this.

Our kids are leading our family in reducing our carbon footprint through encouraging us to eat more responsibility. I'm proud of their moral stance. I just wish they would turn off lights too.....
