The professor tells me in past semesters her mask wearing inspired a few students to mask too, but this semester she has masked alone, but when I ask if she has wanted to stop, she says: “no it’s good for students to see someone doing the right thing when everyone else given up.”

Don’t know a lot about why your sick? Bad patient! Not invested! Non-compliant! Know a lot about why your sick? Bad patient! Anxiety ridden! Neurotic! Willing to shut up and take and SSRI? Good patient! Go away! Probably menopause anyway!

Wear a mask and risk getting fired, harassed or ostracized. Suggest that others shouldn’t spread a virus and risk abuse, risk having to deal with someone else’s tantrum. Avoid it all and risk being labeled a hypochondriac, a recluse. The pandemic isn’t gone, our humanity is.

Being #covidcautious is strongly connected to💰privileges. Do you have a C19 safe home? Do you work from home? Is there an AC in your home/work place? Can you afford masks, sprays, filters? Imo many cc folks who are privileged should think twice when stating “being cc is easy”

“Just stay home” is not a public health strategy. Non disabled people were livid during stay at home orders. They found the idea of being forced to stay home unpalatable, yet they’re only too happy to demand the disabled do it for the rest of our lives.

People are being fired for wearing a mask to work. This is horrible and against public health. We need to pass laws that explicitly protect the right to mask.
