Three years ago today, Len Wein died after a life-long struggle with many diseases. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss him, but I am grateful he did not have to deal with Covid-19. I hope he was right that 45 will get what’s coming to him & good guys will prevail.

50 years ago today, #SwampThing #1, which updated and expanded the short story Len Wein and @BernieWrightson did in 1970, appeared on news stands. DC Comics will issue a prestige edition of Len and Bernie’s run next year. Len later returned to the title with Kelley Jones.

I would so like to see Len Wein’s origin story of Hulk v. Wolverine brought to the big screen. Even better if Hugh Jackman was the one starring.

Fun fact: Ulysses Bloodstone was created by Len Wein Marv Wolfman and John Warner and intended to be a continuing feature in WHERE MONSTERS DWELL, but the book was canceled by then. Interesting timing, for those who are aware.
