How can the Guardian do a story on this and not even mention Stewart Lee’s “King Rocker” film which heavily featured the statue, and, arguably bought attention back to it?

Anyone who was a kid in and around Birmingham in the 1970s will doubtless be thrilled by the reboot/return of the King. I think King Rocker deserves a lot of credit here.
