HS ⚾️ season is getting closer. Big conventions with guest speakers teaching coaches for the next season. Here is a free one. When your players are excited to get to practice or workouts everyday, only then will the team have success. Make it a job daily…you already lost.

The day has come Texas! Kids will be pushed harder. Pitches thrown, balls hit, 49 new signs. State Title dreams! When it’s all over, the players will mostly remember what happens in the clubhouse. If you get a wedding invite from your players, you did your job coaches.

The season opener is getting closer ⚾️ fans. Another tip for those line up card holders. When the last man on your roster BELIEVES he’s just as important as your best player, now you are really coaching. If your club is any good, you’ll need em all at some point.

Leadership is not about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge.

I’ve been around this game since I can walk. Been places, seen things. A former player, or really my second son, sent me this yesterday. To date, it’s my most cherished moment the game has given me. Met him as a boy, now a man, and a wonderful father. This is why I do it.

The next time you think something is hard, think of working everyday for 13 years for that dream. And all the years before that as a kid. A million swings, a million miles, a million mistakes, but just one dream. You want it, go get it.
