4/7 But BTA, with unlimited resources of the oil-rich State, kept making additional demands and requests for more&more investigative actions against me. In 2021, the Federal prosecutor confirmed the dismissal (non-lieu) of the case (“Il n’existe aucune charge contre Jardemalie”).

5/7 In the last attempt to keep the case against me open, in Jan. 2023, the complainant “miraculously” produced dozens of unseen useless documents, some dated back to 2006. Justification for such late introduction of new “evidence” – language barrier & cultural misunderstanding!

6/7 Investigating judge Claise recognized the political nature of the case. At the hearing at the Chamber du Conseil in Feb of 2023, Judge Claise stated “I refuse to be instrumentalized by the Kazakh secret service.” The Federal Prosecutor confirmed: the case should be dismissed.

7/7 My case is a typical #SLAPP - Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation. It was filed with the sole purpose to harass me, to silence me, to stop my human rights work, to destroy my reputation, and to destroy me financially. Just another tool of transnational repression.
