It’s okay to grieve that people have died and at the same time be angry that we live in a world that believes certain people deserve rescue while others experience abandonment.

In the Midwest you rarely say “excuse me” you say “Ope” which loosely translates to “I’m terribly sorry for inconveniencing you with my presence, please excuse the interruption as a awkwardly walk past”

Listening to live music outside on this beautiful evening and I can’t help but think about how much I miss singing out in the world. It has been a real minute.
