Loved presenting to the great folks at LSU’s Political Science Dept and, ofc, Mike the Tiger 🐅😜. Thanks to Pearce Edwards, Thiago Moreira, Yann Kerevel, Anna Gunderson, Joe Clare, Robbie Hogan & Andrés Vázquez for the invitation & kind hospitality!
Many thanks to Jennifer Doleac for joining my professional development workshop for Clemson University policy studies Ph.D. students. We all appreciate your advice on the importance of great writing, networking, and using social media to build your career.
You're the best! Thank you!
Just to add more nuance: Yes, LD/militant losses reduce terrorist activity. But our article in Journal of Politics @[email protected] on how such 'wins' affect civilian perceptions of the targeter's strength may also explain why many are convinced that the Taliban significantly mitigated the ISK threat…
We've sent a letter to Texas Tech on a case regarding extramural speech. The university suspended a prof over social media posts criticizing Israel and the war in Gaza, which we call 'constitutionally protected expressions of private political opinions.'

Grateful for a review of our ISK book by National Defense University Thomas F. Lynch III: '..serves as an essential primer on ISK for US military personnel ...There is no other published work today with such a high level of insight into this enduring regional terrorist group.' 🙏Andrew Mines
After much blood, sweat, and tears...it's finally here! Lucky to work w/a great EAP core team of Jonathan Hartlyn, Tim Hellwig, will horne, Greg Love, Cecilia Martinez-Gallardo & Matt Singer. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the EAP Country Team leaders NOT tagged in the pic 🧵
Fun uncpolisci reunion @clemson with Joe Ura! Thanks to him and Matthew Rhodes-Purdy for the kind invite!
I am disappointed Texas A&M is taking steps to close its Qatar campus. Texas A&M at Qatar proudly represents 🇺🇸values and inspires innovation for students who might otherwise not have access to an American education. This is a loss for the Aggie community and for Education City.
