I simply will not allow AI to alter how I write. Total refusal means more than not using it myself, I also won’t let the fact that others use it shape my habits

Last week, at Faneuil Hall—America's so-called Cradle of Liberty—immigrants showed up to their naturalization ceremony. But instead of taking the oath of allegiance, they were plucked out of line by immigration officers. I wrote about it here: bostonglobe.com/2025/12/11/opi…

DC reduced traffic deaths by 52% in 2025. It did it using traffic cameras to find and target repeat dangerous drivers with fines, booting, and STEER Act lawsuits. Now, U.S. Department of Transportation plans to ban all traffic cameras in DC so reckless drivers aren't held accountable until it's too late.

The most striking thing to me is that the the CBP officer pushes a woman onto the ground and the man is trying to protect her from them and help her up when they tackle him and then shoot him. It’s one of the most upsetting things I’ve ever seen happen in America

We profiled refugees who: Arrived in the country legally. Applied for green cards. Were arrested by ICE and detained. One refugee who was arrested found out they got their green card after being released. This is an unprecedented operation. nytimes.com/2026/01/26/us/…

The Israeli military says it now accepts that the Gaza Health Ministry's death toll (currently over 71,000) is accurate. The Israeli government and its supporters spent the duration of the war accusing anyone who relied on the figures of duplicity or Hamas sympathy.

Not one thing about what's happening today at the The Washington Post makes sense. Such a staggering waste, and so much loss, from sports, tech, features, local, foreign, and prize-winning national coverage. Donate to the journalists who lost their jobs: gofund.me/e857a06af
