The UK Government must take heed of the situation in Honduras, Sunak and Starmer's 74 SEZs and 12 Freeports are set to become libertarian experiments in corporate governance. The Honduran Supreme Court rules that justice for the Honduran people is not to sell their territory in

Is it too much to ask that as a society we accept some people who are vulnerable and need support? As an unpaid carer who is running out of time I wonder what the future holds for my autistic loved one. We only seem to care about celebrities and the very wealthy.

At the peak of the late-summer Covid wave, U.S. health systems were testing approximately evenly for COVID, flu, & RSV. Yet, *nearly all* positive cases were Covid. #PublicHealth guidance must disabuse the myth that Covid conforms to the flu/RSV seasonal pattern.

As we head into winter, hospital admissions in England with Covid are increasing sharply (again), plus flu and RSV starting their annual rise. The year round nature of Covid could not be more obvious! There's also a lot of Rhinovirus (causes common cold) around.

This new variant of Covid is really strange. Massive outbreak in half our hospital, but no staff are masking outside of the Covid wards. Somehow Covid knows to stop at the limit of the outbreak ward & not spread any further, definitely not in corridors, staff rooms or canteen...

I remember reminding 11 year old students about keeping the scale the same throughout the axis. This would be marked down in a year 7 test in the UK. In fact my students could peer mark each other's graphs and would spot this as a mistake themselves.

Maybe you've forgotten it, but the ONS published a survey that looked momentarily as if the incidence of long covid was dropping rapidly. But it wasn't. LOTS of people are still developing it now, and that's just the people who realise what it is.

It’s only October 11th and we now have 3x the number of referrals to our Long COVID clinic than usual. THREE TIMES MORE. 50% of our referrals contracted COVID in 2024. Of those, half contracted COVID over summer 2024. COVID prevention is the only to way to prevent Long COVID.

Salamāsina (she/her) The BMJ tried to normalise chronic cough in infants a few weeks ago. Not normal. I feel sorry for new parents who are being conned that their very young children should permanently be ill.
