Excited to share our review article in Blood Journal on the Causes and Consequences of Clonal Hematopoeisis This was fun to write. Hope it summarizes the state of the field to date. As always, shout out to the 🐐, Ben Ebert! ashpublications.org/blood/article/…

#ASH2023 attendees don’t miss out on these talks from my colleagues in the Majeti Lab ! Stellar science from stellar scientists!

Congratulations to the labs newest PhD candidates James Chavez (James Chavez), Cassandra Stawicki (Cassandra Stawicki) and Emma Heaton (Emma Heaton), who all passed their qualifying exams over the past weeks!

I wrote a blog post about scientific racism and the AllofUsResearch figure illustrating their ancestry analysis. The post was inspired by a presentation of Delaney Sullivan at our lab DEI meeting organized by Nikhila Swarna (Nikki) last week. liorpachter.wordpress.com/2024/02/26/all… cc Josh Denny

Delighted and honored to share that I was awarded the NSF GRFP. Extremely thankful for my current Majeti Lab and former mentors Eric Pietras Jason Lee as well as my graduate program Stanford Cancer Biology PhD Program. Congratulations to all other recipients and to all of the honorable mentions!

Delighted to share our new work in Blood Journal led by the outstanding and creative Dr. Kira Young! Kira embarked on a journey to understand why individual organisms exhibit natural variation in hematopoietic aging phenotypes. Interesting question! doi.org/10.1182/blood.…

Dr. Minhajuddin at CU School of Medicine and team show that venetoclax/dasatinib is a leukemia stem cell (LSC) selective regimen in blast phase CML and that disrupting LIPA and fatty acid transport enhances venetoclax/dasatinib response in targeting LSCs. bit.ly/3xzrHK5
