I just recorded an excellent podcast with Andrew Foy Mohammed Ruzieh, MD on the below HF trials. Coming Friday on Cardiology Trials I learn so much from these two. Teaser: there is a bunch of nuance in our GDMT evidence

I loved the stage today. Nico makes a gap on a corner in a criterium. 5 meters is all. Then he holds it for 20 min. I’ve been in “group 2” more times than I’d like to admit. Bike racing is a beautiful sport. It’s no small thing to make separation on a flat road. Then hold it.

Agree with this take by John Mandrola, MD. The many limitations of the study design are one thing, but the real scandal is the attempt to spin the results both in the writing of the paper & on social media. Unacceptable, reckless, unserious behavior that victimizes the most vulnerable

Look for a critical appraisal of this study tomorrow on Sensible Medicine I will look beyond the headlines from the 85 news sites (thus far) covering it. #ASCO25
