Hugely significant new polling showing that a large majority of the public favour better palliative care over assisted suicide edp24.co.uk/news/national/…

Very disappointed to see my own MP Helen Morgan MP 🔶 on this list. She is a doctor, who was not voted in on a mandate of state-sponsored infanticide. Appalling.

Unfortunately I have covid and I can't get "paired" for the Assisted Dying vote this Friday 😪 this is because it isn't a Government bill and therefore there are no pairings. I'm really glad that I've been so outspoken on this up to now and that you know how I would have voted.

Myth 6: Doctors Want it. Doctors most involved with palliative care or dying patients are most opposed to Assisted suicide. 75% of Scottish PC doctors would not participate in the dying process and 43% would resign if their organisation undertook assisted suicide. APM survey:

SHOCKING: Kim Leadbeater acknowledges that “sometimes mistakes are made” when it comes to terminal prognoses. Yet she’s happy to push through her assisted suicide Bill anyway, knowing it would lead some to die prematurely. Do other MPs really want to do the same?

Abortion at 40 weeks = no arrest Praying outside clinic = arrest Shelagh Fogarty is dismayed by yesterday’s vote to decriminalise abortion.

Every day over 300 people in the UK don't get the choice of the specialist palliative care they desperately need. That is the priority. Not an assisted death.

“Then you’ve got the Panel on top of that” Ludicrous response from Kim Leadbeater to the grave concerns raised by Royal College of Psychiatrists and President Lade Smith CBE Does she think the panel psychiatrist will be doing ad-hoc psychological assessments during its 3 hour certification meeting?

I mean imagine, just imagine, being in pain, lonely, elderly, and vulnerable, and out of the blue your doctor says: “Have you considered assisted dying?” A visit to your GP would become something to fear. And worse, none of your family would ever know how you've been persuaded.

If the Assisted Dying Bill passes we will scrutinise it seriously. But elected MPs should be clear that as it is a PMB, amdmts are likely to be limited. MPs MUST be satisfied that the Bill in front of them on Friday is fit for purpose - if they are not, they should not pass it.

A de facto Government bill pretending to be a private member’s bill, which is appropriate given this is a campaign pretending to be a conversation, a sponsor pretending to be neutral, and no questions death on demand for coerced people pretending to be care.

Sorcha Eastwood MP Thank you for your candid video. If you possibly can, please put on a mask, get on a flight and come to parliament and vote. The stakes could not be higher. Assisted dying will result in so many wrongful deaths. Please please vote.

Matthew Doré (@bathmatt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Not really a PMB or conscience vote is it ? Kim Leadbeater MBE MP you are being scapegoated if (when) it goes all wrong and @kier_starmer can wash his hands of it.

Matthew Doré (@bathmatt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Almost all the previous polls were funded or conducted by dignity in dying - ie very biased. A proper poll would be much more valuable

"There are not enough psychiatrists to do what the Bill requires": Royal College of Psychiatrists Yet the Bill will come into force in 4 years come what may I can't see how MPs can vote for the Bill in those circumstances. It's just not workable

.Chris Hinchliff MP is right to make his support for the Bill conditional on the auto-commencement provision coming out As amendment 42 has not been selected, auto-commencement will remain. So I hope other MPs will join Chris Hinchliff MP is voting no x.com/CHinchliffMP/s…
