To me, what leaps out is the expansion of #euthanasia and #assistedsuicide criteria before it's been legalised. 'serious and incurable condition' with prognosis 'in the short or medium term' with 'unbearable physical OR PSYCHOLOGICAL suffering linked to this condition'.

'We must not link the idea of the end of life with old age'. Is it my translation or is this as ridiculous as it sounds? Not reassuring that the French Health Minister conducts the discussion of #euthanasia and #assistedsuicide with as much deception as our discussion in the UK.

I agree. Not to say ‘told you so’ but to avoid anyone saying ‘we weren’t warned’. If introduced as a ‘medical treatment’ it is denying people a ‘treatment’ based on an arbitrary criteria thus will inevitably expand.
