I find it of great interest that our #politicians will give time for #PhysicianAssistedSuicide but won't fix this issue. For years they have left it to the voluntary sector to fix it. The way we care for our dying says what kind of #society we really are...
For those opposed to legalised #assistedsuicide and #euthanasia and in the London area, please make your voices heard next Monday 3pm as MPs debate legalisation.
Kevin Yuill Yes. It is obvious to me that, in the same way as it is claimed that psychological suffering is not less 'painful' than physical suffering, we will soon hear that psychological incapacity must be treated as a physical one
'Our politicians have made the hypocritical choice not to name their protocols ' #assistedsuicide ' or ' #euthanasia ', but it is not by removing the words that we remove the violence of these acts' France moves disastrously towards legalisation. Read this. nouvelobs.com/societe/202404…
To me, what leaps out is the expansion of #euthanasia and #assistedsuicide criteria before it's been legalised. 'serious and incurable condition' with prognosis 'in the short or medium term' with 'unbearable physical OR PSYCHOLOGICAL suffering linked to this condition'.
'We must not link the idea of the end of life with old age'. Is it my translation or is this as ridiculous as it sounds? Not reassuring that the French Health Minister conducts the discussion of #euthanasia and #assistedsuicide with as much deception as our discussion in the UK.
Remember, folks - you heard it from me (and just about everyone else opposed to #assistedsuicide and #euthanasia ) first: Once it is passed, it inexorably expands.
Would you similarly help your son to kill himself without judging his suffering? Or is it just the elderly who should be helped to die? #assistedsuicide #euthanasia #euthanasie #France
Legalising #assistedsuicide and #euthanasia in France: This treasonous attack on fraternite causes us to abandon our elderly.
'Medical professionals should be telling suicidal people that life can get better, not encouraging them to give up.' Kevin Yuill says it is wrong that Dutch doctors are euthanising young people who are depressed and neurodiverse. spiked-online.com/2024/04/18/why…
Yet another dishonest Daily Express article. If 'Britain remans an outlier as assisted dying remains illegal,' which law prevents 'assisted dying'? 90% of the world's population does not allow mark pajak, if that's what you mean. express.co.uk/news/uk/189071…
