Best wishes to SpaceX Crew-2, now well on their way to International Space Station aboard Crew Dragon Endeavor! Some of our members were watching live early this morning, and it looked fantastic! 🚀 NASA European Space Agency JAXA(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency)
Here's a prototype of our lunar coring device design for the NASA Micro-g NExT challenge and use of it with an underwater drill from Nemo Power Tools! We're excited for machined parts to start coming in to produce a finalized design.
We're looking forward to a great couple weeks ahead as our Geoselenic Retrieval Utility prototype is tested at NASA's Johnson Space Center! Best of luck to all of our fellow #MicrogNExT teams!
To all our fellow #MicrogNExT lunar coring device teams, great job with the test readiness review presentations today! A lot of interesting designs preparing for tests in the Neutral Buoyancy Lab at NASA's Johnson Space Center!
🚀🌖Join us LIVE TOMORROW when 2 of our teams present their designs to NASA! 💫🛰 ⚙️Micro-g is testing their tool at the NASA NBL: 2:15pm CST at ustream.tv/channel/NASA-J… password “microg” 👨‍🚀RASC-AL is showcasing their Lunar Habitat design: 2:50pm CST at livestream.com/viewnow/rascal…
One day of NBL testing complete! Congratulations to all Lunar EVA teams in NASA's Johnson Space Center's #MicrogNExT challenge, and good luck to the SAVER teams tomorrow! We're proud to represent AE at Illinois, The Grainger College of Engineering, & University of Illinois to support NASA's return to the Moon with #Artemis
Currently in poster sessions to show our designs to other #MicrogNExT teams and NASA employees, and we just saw ISU NASA Micro-g NExT Team with their sample bag dispensing device! Looking forward to seeing R.E.D. Teams in the lunar coring device section coming up in a matter of minutes!
We're in the process of conducting our final post-NBL tests! Here's a behind-the-scenes peek at our initial reactions earlier today (albeit an obscured peek due to the Nemo Power Tools underwater drill we accidentally set in front of the camera)
Micro-g 2021-2022 has officially started! This years project manager is Harriet Hunt (Harriet Hunt) and the team is going to pursue the lunar bag dispenser challenge! 🎉🌖🔨
