This year I have donated to 27 University-Level Student Rocket Teams. I made a list of every team I donated to and what they are doing. If you want to support space exploration, donating to these teams is the best investment you could make in our future. lars-0.github.io/StudentRocketP…

We had 11 members from our Spaceshot rocketry team obtain their Technician Class HAM Radio licenses! With these qualifications, our team can improve our rocket telemetry systems. We would also like to shout-out the Twin City Amateur Radio Club for donating two handheld radios!

The telemetry team had an exciting testing session/field trip across campus last week and it was a big success! The goal was to not only check hardware, but also determine maximum operating range. Huge thanks to Arrow Antennas for donating an Alaskan Antenna to ISS!

The Large Rocketry Materials team has been hard at work developing our prototype nose cone! After months of R&D, the team settled on using a 3D printed mold and wet fiberglass layups to create the conical shape. Now integration of the AV system and physical testing can proceed!

A rocket named Intrepid III implies it’s the third in a series of successful rockets. The truth? Intrepid III was born out of two failed launches. The “III” reflects the determination of the students who overcame two failures with a success. aerospace.illinois.edu/news/52397
