Love how The Transmitter covered our study – not copy-paste from press release but quality journalism. Elissa Welle, PhD did 3 interviews with Barbara Hollunder, Ningfei Li and myself, and more w/ Helen Mayberg, MD, The McIntyre Lab, Anastasia Yendiki to write a coherent & balanced piece!
Really enjoyed this opportunity to deep dive into the world of DBS for depression and think about how to move forward with current biomarkers + approaches. Now is an exciting time for neuromodulation in psychiatry 🧠⚡️ Michael Okun Katherine Scangos Helen Mayberg, MD Coralie de Hemptinne

Dr Philip Mosley Luca Cocchi Michael Breakspear Andrew Zalesky Bjorn Burgher LachlanWebb Important to exercise caution when interpreting results though - this study wasn’t about TMS for OCD in general, it was about a specific investigational TMS target which is very different from the one that’s most commonly used.
Well done to Dr Josie Fielding, who won trainee of the year at the rcpsychLDN division awards. We're very proud of Josie, what an achievement! The Trust picked up four awards on the night. Read more here: westlondon.nhs.uk/news/latest-ne…
Amazing work presented at @ohbm! DBS personalization is really happening. For Parkinson's, selecting specific sweetspots and fibre tracts to target the patient's dominant symptom (tremor vs bradykinesia etc). Andreas Horn
