he’s nearly dragging his hand over his face in embarrassment, taking a moment to slide into her window, softly landing on the floor of her room. “lead the way, book stealer.” he joked playfully, brows pressing together as he tries to compose himself.

maybe she didn’t know this yet — but a few of his supernatural qualities saved his ass. this was one of those times. “still mines.” he mumbled under his breath but, he follows her anyways.

“caffeine. ive got a long shift tonight and im sure my boss won’t approve of me being drunk on the job.” he quipped, moving to sit in one of the seats.

“you know me pretty well already.” he grinned, gently picking up the mug and starting to sip the delicious liquid. “it’s a small gig. I just stick shelves for the nearby grocery store. i have issues sleeping at night so, might as well as do something with my time, right?”
