Well both my moth traps were empty in South Norwich this morning, but we did have a lovely furry Lime Hawk Moth sitting on the top of the actinic. A miracle it wasn’t gobbled up by a robin

With a slight rise in temperature, no wind or rain the MV was deployed in the garden last night 12/6 #moths with 2 Muslin another Herald and Red Chestnut were nice to see again, seems a while since I’ve seen a moth ! Friday nights balmy weather saw 71/26 #moths to the garden with 9 nfy with 3 of them (micros) nfsquare. The stars of the show were undoubtedly 2 Dotted Chestnut, a much longed for species and so stunning in the flesh!
