2 women journey to the net and tackle stores in Hastings, East Sussex, in 1956. 📸

The unusually narrow structures were dictated by a restricted plot agreed upon in 1846, so the net shops were forced to grow upwards.

Today, the stores still stand in 12 rows on the beach. ⛵

Moseley Road Baths in Birmingham are one of England's most complete examples of an Edwardian Bath House. 🏊‍♂️

They are the only Baths in the country built before 1914 to have continuously hosted swimming since they opened.

Have you been for a swim in these iconic baths?

Whitelock's Ale House in Leeds is one of a small number of upmarket Victorian 'luncheon bars'. 🍻

It retains its 1895 interior decorative scheme and a wealth of high-quality features, including fixed-bench seating, stained-glass windows and a rare ceramic-tiled bar counter.
