#OnThisDay 1758 Horatio Nelson was born in #Norfolk He joined Royal Navy as an Ordinary Seaman at 12 years old in HMS RAISONNABLE but was quickly promoted to Midshipman and officer training. In a 34 year career he fought in over 14 battles until his death in 1805 at Trafalgar.
