They don’t make em like David Bevan anymore. Our political system will be worse for his departure. He is a fierce defender of the truth armed with a political memory & healthy cynicism to match. A man who could’ve done anything but chose journalism, thank God he did.

Today I caught up with Claire Clutterham, the candidate for Sturt, to discuss issues that are important to the people of Sturt. Claire is passionate about advocating for her community - and was great to catch up with her today.

I’ve gotten to know John Gardner MP well over the last few years. We’re from opposing sides of politics, but he’s objectively a good man. John’s electorate borders mine, and we’ve spent many moments together in our community.

I’ve just come out of a meeting in Melbourne to news of images of horrific graffiti which has turned up in Wiley Park, the suburb next door to mine. To the thugs who are trying to intimidate my community: You don’t represent Australia, Your bigotry is rejected and condemned.
