Just gonna put it out there, if and when a junior doctor/SASG/consultant makes a mistake causing patient harm, I hope you're all as supportive on social media as you are of the General Practice PA who made a mistake.

An autistic pt of mine was mocked by her midwife for how much pain she was in during early labour “just wait until the real pain starts!” Another was praised by her MW for “doing so well” & not having any analgesia. She didn’t understand the praise as “it just didn’t hurt” 1/3

Nursing Standard It’s honestly shocking that anybody in nursing would suggest this is appropriate and shows an enormous lack of understanding about mental health, which all nurses regardless of field should have a stable knowledge base of. That’s clearly not the case here.

it truly spins my mind that ICU nurses, who manage ventilators, CRRT, titrate vasopressors and inotropes, deal with all the art lines and central lines, run and interpret gases, replete electrolytes, run all kinds of complicated infusions…are generally paid at band *5*.
