Beyond the FTA negotiations the UK's future prosperity relies on good constructive dialogue with the EU, on everything, forever. Living beside the EU, US or China is like rooming with a gorilla. FTA talks agreeing a rent split doesn't mean you no longer need its cooperation.

I argued for years that ‘Brexit’ falls apart when you have to write it down. It was always the ultimate unicorn-slayer. It didn’t cross my mind that they’d write it down, lie about what they’d written & then blame others for what they’d done. But the original point still stands.

The director of Auschwitz Memorial wrote the President of Nigeria and asked him to pardon 13-year old Omar Farouq sentenced for 10 years imprisonment. He declares he is ready to share part of the sentence. 'I cannot remain indifferent to this disgraceful sentence for humanity.'

It's weird how when the tories got into power and went full throttle on austerity suddenly everybody started blowing all their food money on crack and prostitutes to the point that food bank use skyrocketed by 3800 percent

“Brexit is a national tragedy built on a chimera. The UK is about to discover that it has traded the real power to shape its destiny for an illusion drenched in nostalgia.” ft.com/content/f5cf57…

Our son has been in daycare since the beginning of the year. If he is sick and needs to come home early, they call me. If they want to give him paracetamol, they call me. If he has injured himself they call me. So what? 🧵1/4
