This! Work will never love you back. I was asked in an interview once if I was a workaholic; I could tell they were surprised when I said a hard no. When I'm done work for the day, I fully clock out. I love my job but work-life balance is vital.

I was in this same arena 9 months ago for a sold-out WNBA exhibition game. If we stop discounting women and girls, they dream big *and* fill arenas. This could not be more obvious. INVEST 👏🏽 IN 👏🏽 WOMEN'S 👏🏽 SPORTS 👏🏽

It took 11.5yrs for us to identify Lt Hemsley. It feels great to know that we were finally able to identify his remains found in 2012! I was the one to call his grandson to tell him that his DNA donation had yielded very positing DNA results. That day and today were great days.

I always love hearing/reading anecdotes and stories from the family of those identified. Richard, Lt Hemsley's grandson, has been an absolute pleasure to speak to in the last few months. cbc.ca/news/canada/sa…

Lt. Frank Hemsley's family thought his body was lost after he died fighting for Canada in the First World War. It took more than a century, but a Canadian team of forensic anthropologists and the latest DNA technology have proven otherwise. cbc.ca/news/canada/sa… .

We are aware of reports that members of the World Central Kitchen team have been killed in an IDF attack while working to support our humanitarian food delivery efforts in Gaza. This is a tragedy. Humanitarian aid workers and civilians should NEVER be a target. EVER.

Today World Central Kitchen lost several of our sisters and brothers in an IDF air strike in Gaza. I am heartbroken and grieving for their families and friends and our whole WCK family. These are people…angels…I served alongside in Ukraine, Gaza, Turkey, Morocco, Bahamas, Indonesia. They

If you want some insane context, this viewership for Iowa-LSU number tops every World Series game in 2023 and all but one NBA Finals game in 2023.

The seven angels killed on a World Central Kitchen mission in Gaza on Monday were the best of humanity. The Israeli government needs to open more land routes for food and medicine today. It needs to stop killing civilians and aid workers today. It needs to start the long journey to peace

The decision for @wckitchen to restart feeding in Gaza is both the hardest and the simplest one we could make. Hard, because only a month has passed since seven of our WCK colleagues were killed in an IDF attack. These humanitarian heroes risked everything to feed people they

I keep talking when men interrupt me. Eventually, they get the idea because I'm loud and take up space. Or I'll immediately remind them that I'm Dr. Lockyer when they've addressed all the men by rank/title and used Sarah for me.

This is an incredible time for women's sports in Canada. It's part of a tide sweeping the world. Believe women. Pay women. Support women. We need to keep making sports safe for women; racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny are still present. We need to eradicate them.
