Of 14 AI detection tools, none worked well enough to warrant use in education. It’s a preprint so read with caution, but in my opinion it’s still some of the best evidence we have on the effectiveness of these tools.

PhilAnthony That’s a great point. I could see offering extra credit for trying them and reflecting on how it felt. Or assigning students to try it on a light, silly or pop culture topic? It might be easier to practice speaking aloud this way than with a human audience, though still hard.
