Great to see the government provide funding to local authorities to increase support for carers. This includes projects to help give carers respite breaks - which Andrew Harrop & l recommended in ‘Caring for Carers’. But there is still more to do to support unpaid carers… ⬇️

The term 'left-behind' conceals many shades. Europe’s vulnerable regions differ: some bear deindustrialisation scars, others face demographic collapse, rural areas grapple with isolation. As Sanne Velthuis et al. argue, policy must embrace this complexity doi.org/10.1080/003434…

"Unless Labour delivers for coastal towns and tackles disaffection, the tide will turn in the Sea Wall – and Reform will reap the rewards" Great to speak to Tom Scotson about the Sea Wall, a key Labour-Reform battleground 60% of Reform's seats are in coastal areas, inc Farage

The central question for the next election is whether people are experiencing rising living standards and improved public services. Our general secretary Joe Dromey shares his take on the local election results on Week in Westminster on BBC Radio 4 Today

Following Reform and the Conservatives down a climate-sceptic path not only defies the evidence — it’s also an electoral dead end. Joe Dromey urges the government to stick to its bold clean energy mission on a Week in Westminster.

🚨 NEW REPORT 🚨 The government can act to transform the lives of babies and toddlers living in poverty – and do so with public support. Read Ben Cooper's recommendations to lift 230,000 under-fives out of poverty
