Dear NYC DOT and Ben Furnas 9th Av is impossible—and extremely dangerous—to cross, especially at night, because of unregistered, unregulated, and speeding e-bikes & @CitiBike not following traffic rules - exactly why the “bike lanes” function more like unmonitored e-bike highways

Walked two blocks today and was hit twice by e-bikes riding on the sidewalk—once from behind, once head-on! This is completely unacceptable. These are motorized vehicles with no registration, no licensing, no accountability.

A bunch of chronically online tech leaders suddenly quiet.
