Dear NYC DOT and Ben Furnas 9th Av is impossible—and extremely dangerous—to cross, especially at night, because of unregistered, unregulated, and speeding e-bikes & @CitiBike not following traffic rules - exactly why the “bike lanes” function more like unmonitored e-bike highways

Walked two blocks today and was hit twice by e-bikes riding on the sidewalk—once from behind, once head-on! This is completely unacceptable. These are motorized vehicles with no registration, no licensing, no accountability.

Still a lot more to uncover, but just a friendly reminder that criminal law enforcement agents dislodge guns from people every day without shooting and killing them. Simply possessing a gun is not a reason to be shot and killed.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Oliver Kamm Video evidence reveals 10 shots fired - as Alex Pritti lay helpless on the ground - surrounded by up to 6 armed CBP officers - and AFTER his handgun had been taken from him - when he clearly posed no possible threat to them or to anybody else.

This morning I cancelled our family holiday to America. I cannot in good conscience take my wife and children there and tell them they will be safe. The United States is no longer a place for decent people. thetimes.com/article/78f404…

Gil Penalosa "Bike lanes" and:or "bikes" next to pedestrians have turned out to be bad for pedestrians. So much bad, unsafe, ruinous, planning around this subject. Not to mention the careless recklessness of "bike" population in general. No accountability, no rules, no courtesy or care.

Shahana Hanif Also: Notice light posts and other fixtures completely corroded by dog pee. Dog owners letting dogs pee on trash bags that sanitation workers have to later pick up with pee flying into air, dog poo bags in private recycling cans. The list goes on! Fort Greene area has it bad!😡

Shebbie4nyc Speaker Julie Menin If they care so much about saving lives why don’t they support Priscilla’s Law? Speeding bikes injure and kill people too and we have no way of tracking them down

Most New Yorkers don't want: - year-round dining sheds - daylighting that doesn't work - dumpsters in parking spots - more parking meters - painted "sidewalks" on roads - "road diets" - "green waves" - excessive citibike infrastructure - unregulated e-bikes Take note New York City Council

Nothing says affordability like higher taxes. The Mayor is suggesting there are only two options to fix our budget crisis, but that’s just not true.

The report from the NYU Marron Institute argues the money that would be needed for Mayor Zohran Mamdani's proposal for free buses would be better spent expanding the subway system into transit deserts. specne.ws/EaoMLz
