Pedestrians streets bring life to cities. Places where everyone belongs.
Cities were mostly places to work, more and more they are becoming places to live & play. Fun.
Small & large cities should aim to be more equitable (big problem in Boulder), sustainable, playful.

Weekend open markets are very successful in Boulder. Cities should facilitate these multiple locations, sm, m, lg.

Boulder, Colorado. Nice state law prioritizes pedestrians; not so nice to have people riding bicycles between parked cars and moving ones, most dangerous situation.
Simply move cars over to protect the cyclists, and put bikelanes next to sidewalk.

Mayors Mike Johnstone Denver, Aaron Brockett Boulder lead very diff cities.
Both kind & committed to tree equity, walk & bike, safely.

Urgently needed density, 5 stories along arterials, allow ADUs everywhere and to divide homes, as of right.
Equitable. Sustainable. Playful.

Leaving Denver & Boulder, USA. Great week working on #nature , as necessary for equity & health.
Best of cities? God made mountains. 2nd, both passed max 20mph/30kph all neighborhoods. 3rd People! Worked w both mayors, staff, amazing advocates. Superb host eco-leader Irene Vilar.

Shameful the use of women's body to attract attention to private brands.
Why such difference with men in track & field, swim diving, beach volleyball...
There is zero difference in soccer or basketball where women are getting higher ratings than men!

Not all glamorous… having had great 2 hour conversations, morning Denver staff multiple areas, after Boulder’s mayor & staff, plus long & nice walking tour… ended late as only customer at IHOP by hotel and bed to recharge.
Grateful for opportunities to share, inspire, learn.

Enjoyed afternoon with Boulder’s mayor Aaron Brockett and team.
We spoke of need for equity. How having a superb university community and gorgeous mountains is great, but not enough.
Urgency for new housing, dividing current homes, soft density on arterials.
