Susan Dalgety Michelle Thomson Scottish Government What a powerful and moving speech by Michelle Thomson. She speaks for so many of us. All she is asking for is for the law to be respected by ScotGov and for it to stop wasting time and money by tilting at windmills.

I was just about to throw away my joggers NPRG when I realised BijanOmrani call to action refers only to England! That from “Britains most civilised magazine” Fun and interesting all the same .

Once again For Women Scotland have educated the Scottish Government and common sense has finally prevailed to ensure Scottish schools adhere to the Supreme Court’s decision and the Court of Session finding against Borders Council in June. We should not have had to rely on Scottish

To Lucy Powell MP: 1. The Supreme Court upheld womens legal rights to single sex services provisions & sports. 2. It's the law. 3. It always has been the law. 4. Parliamentarians do not have a say on whether or not to uphold the law. Yours, The Labour Party member. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…

“The Supreme Court simply confirmed what the law has always been. If councillors had been doing their jobs, instead of blindly following a dangerous and ridiculous ideology, then these unlawful policies would never have become so entrenched." thetimes.com/uk/scotland/ar…

This is a stupid take from Lucy Powell MP & those advising her. The "rules" are not "becoming law". The law was settled by the Supreme Court in April. If Ms Powell wants to change the law & remove women's rights from EA2010, she will have to make that case. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…

Ponder how utterly bizarre it is that a woman, in the 21st century, now needs to explain why she wishes to have a women only place in which to perform her ablutions & other women only functions and/or simply be away from the presence of any and all men, whether kind or predatory.

My co-editor Lucy Hunter Blackburn, fellow writers and, I am sure, the book’s many readers are pleased the complaint was upheld, but it’s a telling snapshot of Scottish civil society that a tiny group of people had such influence over an important institution. There’s lessons here for

There is no Woman of the Day today. There are 39 of them and OTD in 1854, they left London and set off on an arduous journey of 2,000 miles by land and sea. They braved a choppy Channel and a stormy Mediterranean, foul weather battering cramped ships infested with cockroaches,

Sarah Phillimore We are all rooting for you Sarah. I’m sure For Women Scotland would appreciate the gesture, especially as they are being prevented from being rightly reimbursed for their legal costs following the Supreme Court judgment as the Scottish Government are behaving petulantly.

The aria that got me hooked on opera, via Inspector Morse. When I was about 12... (this is a very convoluted origin story, I admit!)

This interview with Susan Smith of For Women Scotland was so weirdly hostile. She and the other women had - just a week earlier - achieved a quite remarkable victory in the UK Supreme Court. Did the programme’s editorial team think Susan & colleagues had done something wrong?
