Together with former Scottish Greens leader Robin Harper OBE today I have written to Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer asking him to urgently consider the findings of the #CassReview & to implement its recommendations in Scotland.

The findings of the #Cass review have utterly vindicated the concerns articulated by my friends at LGB Alliance. Politicians who called them a “hate group” should hang their heads in shame & apply themselves to reading the findings of this important report.

The #Cass review concludes that for most young people a medical pathway will not be the best way to manage their gender-related distress & that the use of puberty blockers for such children is not safe. NHS Scotland must take heed.
