The Save Honey Hill πŸƒπŸ’šπŸƒ campaigners have challenged both LibDems candidates in Cambridge & South Cambs over the Anglian Water proposed move. Doesn't look like they will change their position. Note Conservative manifesto backs Gove's 'Case for Cambridge' public.conservatives.com/static/documen…

Lovely piece by Mike Scialom about the Friends of the Cam Rights of the River event last night in Cambridge. Amazing atmosphere and serious critique of those sewage dumpers there.

β€œthe deciding factor on their fate will inevitably come down to the rate of development in the city. The environmental agency has already raised concerns” Cambridge’s chalk streams are under threat, and that’s a problem | Varsity varsity.co.uk/features/27806

Today is #ThankYouDay, so while the battle to #SaveCotonOrchard isn’t over we wanted to pause & say thank everyone who has spoken up, shown up, rolled up their sleeves, and dug in for Nature in Cambridgeshire πŸ’š

A recommendation has been made on whether the new Cambridge sewage works should be built or not. However, we won't know what that recommendation is until a decision is made in a few months time. More here πŸ‘‡ cambridge-news.co.uk/news/cambridge…

Will nature be made a priority this time and we Save Honey Hill πŸƒπŸ’šπŸƒβ“ Most in Cambs don't realize this Β£.3 billion publicly funded scheme isn't for adding capacity but to move an already fully functioning sewage works into greenbelt to allow building on the existing site πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Tim Ward @[email protected] #FBPE πŸ”Άβ Save Honey Hill πŸƒπŸ’šπŸƒ Seems improbable but even in recent conversations people either have no idea, or think it’s a new plant to add capacity. Similarly for the C2C busway. Participants of the recent bioblitz in Coton had no clue one was proposed through the Orchard, even a Cambourne based ecologist.

A β€œbonkers idea of the highest order”❗️ Brilliant, hard fought campaign. Not only did these champions for nature speak loudly, genius Liz Cotton distilled this complex story into a clear song. I hope you prevail, #SaveHoneyHill & those with the power to decide hear you πŸ’š

Mark Williamson Appreciate the South Camb MP's commitment to environmental protection, but concerning that this stance seems at odds with not supporting Save Honey Hill πŸƒπŸ’šπŸƒ. Moving the sewage works will potentially impact a chalk aquifer & the Cam River. Hope to see alignment in actions & words πŸ’§πŸ
