As National Parks turn 75, a new report highlights only 6% of their land is recorded as being in good health for nature - with the Yorkshire Dales having less tree cover than York and waterways across these special places heavily polluted by sewage released from storm overflows.

48 of the 50 English parliamentary constituencies with the highest domestic solar generation capacity are in rural areas. 🏠

Meanwhile, all 200 of those with the lowest capacity are in towns and cities.

Cornwall saw 4,890 installations of #solarpv and #heatpumps across the year - the highest in England, producing an estimated annual generation of over 37MWh. 👇

It is so frustrating that this fossil fuel loving Govt has been moving at snail pace on solar. The untapped potential just from our rooftops is huge - up to 117GW. But last year total solar capacity rose just 1GW to 15.3GW. Great report from CPRE The countryside charity on how we can turn this around.
