On Monday, the Highland Council officially notified ministers that they voted to approve the proposed development at #CoulLinks, despite NatureScot’s objection and a recommendation of refusal from planning officers. 1/4🧡

If you've left dead plants in your garden over the winter, they'll probably have been providing sheltered spots for hibernating ladybirds and lots of other creatures. Please do leave them a while longer until spring is underway 🐞 #wildlife #gardening #nature

β€˜Cull of the Wild: Killing in the Name of Conservation.’ My latest book is released into the wild on 28th March. Please track down a copy and join in the discussion about this challenging topic. Should we intervene? Should we kill? Are there alternatives?

This housing development will have around a 100 S-Bricks grouped high up on gables, the gables are grouped together too. The locations are selected where there is a clear line of flight for Swifts to access/egress the S-b. Here are the first ones going in Fiona Judge !

As always, many people asking us about #bumblebees at the moment - WHY THEY’RE SEEING THEM ON THE GROUND - so here’s a thread to explain what they’re up to. Please #retweet. Every #queen that survives means a new colony that gets to exist & produce new queen #bees for next year!

Pretty much every nature organisation, 350 of them, tens of thousands of scientists, conservationists and growers march through London to tell the UK the manifestos are woefully inadequate to protect nature and us. Unprecedented. BBC News (UK) … nothing πŸ‘€

As others have said, cornflower thrown at an ancient monument makes the news, with lots of pearl clutching, but this huge peaceful march by hundreds of thousands of people who know we are killing Nature gets almost no coverage. No wonder Govts won't listen to eco common sense.
