"My mother told me to leave her behind and run with my kids but, I refused," said Nyadit, 28, a South Sudanese returnee who fled the #Sudan conflict to go to Wau, #SouthSudan. She helped her disabled mother and her two children escape by pushing them in a broken wheelchair.

On arriving in South Sudan, the family struggled for months moving from one place to another. In the end, Nyadit’s mother was treated and provided with a new wheelchair at the ICRC-supported physical rehabilitation center in Wau. "I’m relieved from carrying my mother every day."
