RIP. Just today I was reading about Bob Love in Theresa Runstedtler’s excellent book “Black Ball.” The treatment of Love and Norm Van Lier by the Bulls, reporters and fans during a holdout over broken salary promises was emblematic of 1970s basketball stars’ struggles.
