Some people think the highest rate of income tax should be 20%. Some people think it should be 60%. Of course nobody thinks the highest rate should be 62%, but only on people earning £100-125k. That would be mad. But that's the tax system we have:

Yesterday we visited Wes Streeting's constituency office. He was out, so we left him a letter and a message. Private firms have made £10 million in profits from NHS contracts a week since Jan 2012 - not including PPE or vaccines. It's time to end the profligacy of outsourcing.

Quick wins for Starmer that cost nothing: 1. Stop subsidised food/alcohol for MP’s 2. Ban second jobs for MP’s unless it’s in NHS 3. Random Drug test MP’s 4. Ban all betting 5. Stop all private flights/helicopters What have I missed?

Would welcome The BMA advice. A Junior doctor who is planning to strike on Friday 27th June, JD also on study course on 1-2 July (study day booked, back in Feb before strike date announced). Can this JD strike on 27th and go on the course on 1 July?

Dear 🇬🇧, The Conservatives engineered the worst staffing crisis in NHS history, now forcing 20k doctors and 40k nurses to leave the NHS every year. They are a threat to your health and they must be far from govt. I spoke to Sky News as we began our 11th #DoctorsStrike. #GE2024

Want to know why NHS has been embroiled in industrial dispute over the last 18 months, it's because the government did this to NHS pay (top row👇), whilst the rest of the population (all workers) have now recovered real terms pay. RT (& VOTE) if you want a CHANGE of approach

Eilidh 🦀 When you eventually retire, when leaving the GMC medical register they demand a small fee and a reference! Instead, just cancel the direct debit then ghost them. Eventually (around 2 years in my case), they remove you for an "Administrative Reason". Useless organisation.

This is interesting A doctor convicted of unlawfully practicing dentistry without a licence Rightly, your teeth are protected from unregistered practitioners So why are non doctors able to perform surgery without a medical licence…? mpts-uk.org/-/media/mpts-r…

Dear 🇬🇧, You are so ridiculously lucky to have the NHS. Protect it. Defend it. Never stop fighting for it. Because this is the reality of medical debt in my country and if you’re not careful, this could soon be your reality too. #SOSNHS

Warning: Miss one month’s council tax payment & it could ask you to pay the whole year bill within weeks. Council tax debt collection is far worse than finance firms. It’s destructive especially for those with mental health issues. My speech at @MMHPI campaign launch

Hey Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) it takes around 4 years for a referral to be seen currently. (Readers; that's not a lie - it takes 4 years). £6.4 MILLION in gifts. Or 64 times as much as Starmer. It's weird the mainstream media doesn't mention that, isn't it? Personally, and for the sake of democracy, I think all political gifts should be considered as bribes & outlawed.

In Germany, if you send your children to private school, you can claim 30% of the tuition fees, capped at €5,000 per annum, per child as a tax deduction. Meanwhile Britain has become a country which punishes people for going private.

UK Govt penalising children (esp with overseas family connection for visiting them) labelling them as "holiday" to maintain good school attendance behaviour is pathetic. Pls sign these petition. change.org/p/scrap-the-na… change.org/p/abolish-new-… change.org/p/stop-fining-…
